ALPSinsight is the result of a group of friends tremendous enthusiasm for mountain sports in the Alps. The information on this site comes from both locals and services working throughout the Alps as professional mountain sport photographers and guiding services. ALPSinsight’s goal is to provide ideas for planning an active holiday in the Alps, but also provide Stories, inspiring photography, gear advice and insider tips.
Some of the most iconic experiences and services are recommended for a variety of sports; trail running, hiking, alpine climbing, road cycling and ski touring. With the Jungfrau Region being our home, there is special emphasis on the mountains of the Berner Oberland. Okay, we’re a bit biased, but you’ll also get the best of the Alps – there is just so much to showcase!

Kim Strom is a writer and passionate trail runner. As a co-author of Run the Alps Switzerland, she partnered with the Patitucci’s to create Elevation: The Alps Trail & Peak Running Resource. As a writer, her feature stories have appeared in Runner’s World, Trail Runner, Ski Tour, Trail Running UK, SkiAlper and many more. She currently lives on the Patitucci’s couch.
